BRING IN THE CLOWNS  by Bud Frimoth

Everyone loves clowns with their abilities to make us laugh by gaining our attentions and putting us at ease.   Now reverse the direction; you become the clown in the audience and on stage are those being helped.

Serendippity:  seize the moments!  Put the people at rest, listen to their concerns and needs.  Be willing to be open to opportunities to help.

Your ministry to others may be different from others, but  you are needed

to encourage, love, and accept others.  Be willing to be open to opportunities to help.

THE CONDOR OF THE JUNGLE  by Walley Herron

Walley Herron, God’s servant, was certainly faithful and true.  His adult life was dedicated  to the Bolivian people and their needs despite his own heartbreaks.

He used God’s needs to enrich his own knowledge and abilities to help others.  The Bolivian Government honored him with “The Condor of the Andes” award for his outstanding service to their country.

A remarkable story!!

THE NEEDS OF THE DYING  by David Kessler

The Rev. Beverly Richardson, Chaplin for the Volusia/Flager Hospice Program, highly recommends this book.   I have added this book to GPS Library for your understanding.

It deals with the needs of the caregiver as well as the approaching death. In it you will find gentleness and peace in the experience of death.

We will all face both categories, hopefully this book will assist you with the acceptance of God’s love and peace as we continue God’s plan for us.

ALL THE WOMEN OF THE BIBLE, by M.L. del Mastro

This is a gem of a book!  It is broken into 2 parts, “The Book of Names”

has 400 alphabetical entries with a short synopsis for each entry.

“The Book of Stories”  consists of retelling stories of 56 women in Scripture who had their lives and/or nation’s life changed because of a crises.

Let me explain; retelling stories is different from summarizing.  Retelling

through analyzing character and taking into consideration the situations

and customs of the times, the author gives us a greater insight as to “why”

these women are remembered.  The choices  made, and deeds performed

Help us understand their relationship to God.

A WORD OF CAUTION:  Not all the stories have a happy ending.

BIBLE PROMISES FOR TODDLERS  and BIBLE STORIES FOR TODDLERS, by:  Stephen Elkins

Both books have one story per page (28 pages each) coordinated with children’s  songs on the accompanying CD.

Because of their short attention spans, these short stories introduce God’s message to our smallest ones.

Wonderful for one to one reading or within a small group.  They will delight in the pictures and songs.
