We would love for you to join us for worship this Sunday and see if Glenwood might provide a great church family for you! Each Sunday we have a contemporary worship service beginning at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional worship service beginning at 11 a.m.
Our Children’s Church program provides an active and engaging learning experience for children between services from 9:45 to 10:45. Three class levels are provided to meet the needs of a wide range of ages; Class I - WEE ONES (Kindergarten and under) meeting in the Nursery; Class II - ELEMENTARY (Grades 1, 2, & 3) meets in the Beach Room; Class III - YOUTH (Grades 4, 5, & 6) meets in the Youth Room.
Adult Christian education classes are held between the services from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The Bible Class, which meets in the "Parlor", uses a David C. Cook series called "Bible in Life". During June, July, & August the study focuses on how God instructs His people in the books of Joshua, Judges, and Ruth. The Fellowship Class meets in the "Theatre" and is currently studying a series of topics: Taming the Tongue, Grace, Unsearchable Riches, Attitude, Contentment, Compassion, Wisdom, and Faith. They plan to start The Minor Prophets in the fall or the study called "If You Want To Walk On Water, You Must Get Out Of The Boat".
Starting Sunday, February 5, the Adult Parlor Class will begin a four week study in Galatians, one of Paul’s little letters. The theme of the letter is Justification by Faith alone, one of the five Solas of the Reformed Faith. Come for four weeks, or come and stay!
The Adult class which meets in the Movie Room off of the Barnes Bldg. hallway is studying the Fruits of the Spirit, coincidentally also found in Galatians. They welcome you at any time.
Sunday School runs from 9:45 am to 10:45 with classes for children as well.
Also, don’t forget the Pastor’s Bible Study on Wednesdays from 7 pm to 8 pm in Fellowship Hall. The study is progressing through the Acts of the Apostles, our church in its earliest days.
Enrich your faith! Come and learn more about what the Bible says and how we can be better Christians.
DO YOU KNOW? We now have a Sunday School class for young adults! The class meets each Sunday morning in the conference room of the Administration Building (previously the manse) from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Topics include various scripture verses and how we might apply them to our lives today. For more information call the church at 734-8617 or write pastor@glenwoodpc.org.
We are a body of believers who seek to serve Christ through service to our community. To this end we have numerous ongoing programs such as a weekly play group for young children, women’s circles, monthly men’s fellowship breakfasts and a middle/high school youth fellowship. We also host a 4-H club, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and American Heritage Girls.
